5 Fun Tailgate Ideas

Tailgating is my favorite thing to do in the Fall.
Here are 5 fun ways to make it a touchdown.

1. Kick it off with a cheerful invitation

2, Pass out lots of Festive Food
Pigskin BLTs and Turf Veggie Sandwiches...

along with Puntcakes for dessert...
(recipes and diys here)

3. Don't get a penalty, make sure you've got party favors like face masks
(all the details here)

Die hard fans love everything about their team.
This tailgate plays homage to the school fight song...

and the food was based on a beloved coach, a favorite restaurant and the team mascot...
Go Buffs!

Football's not the only game in town,
jumbo sized classics are perfect to play as you celebrate before the first pass is thrown.

The Kale-gate... a tasty tailgate salad

Fall football season is well underway.
Time for cool, crisp days, exciting games and most importantly festive tailgate food.
I'm tackling a quick, easy and healthy salad that will have everyone
cheering for KALE...

A kale salad is perfect for the tailgate game plan because
it doesn't get soggy as it sits,
it just gets better.

The line-up of ingredients is a combo of
kale, spiral pasta, tomatoes and crumbled chicken apple sausage.
Like any good football team,
it's well rounded, hearty and good...

Kale-gate Salad
6 cups rough cut kale
1 box pasta cooked and cooled
4 chicken apple sausages, removed from casing, crumbled and cooked
2 cup sliced cherry tomatoes

for the dressing whisk together
2 Tablespoons of finely diced shallot
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon anchovy paste
5 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
10 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Toss kale and pasta with dressing, then top with tomatoes and sausage and gently toss once again.

A San Francisco Super Bowl

Are you ready for some football?
It's time to celebrate The Super Bowl in true San Francisco style...

We will be kicking back on Sunday, watching all the festivities
and enjoying as many iconic Bay Area treats as we can.

First down:
our favorite California cheeses with fabulous

Second Down:
Classic Fisherman's Wharf Clam Chowder in a bread bowl,
(because in this town - bread bowls are SUPER)
paired with Anchor Steam Beer...

Third Down:
We've got to have the San Francisco Treat, right?

Fourth Down:
Legendary, decadent and amazing It's It ice cream sandwiches

Wherever you left your heart.
I hope your team wins.

Stogies and Hoagies - Fun Football Watch Party

Football Season is in full swing
and we are gearing up for the parade of bowl and playoff games.
What better way to cheer on your favorite team but a casual
Stogies and Hoagies Party
with great friends?

Delicious sandwiches paired with ice cold beers
and fun, flavorful Cubero Cigars.
They all go together so well, it's no wonder it rhymes!

The hoagie buffet is easy to set up and
lets everyone build their own masterpiece between plays, at half time or anytime.
I put together trays of Italian meats and vegetables,
such as shredded lettuce, red and spicy peppers, tomatoes and thinly sliced white onion.

But the secret ingredient to the perfect hoagie is our special sauce...

Once you compile your ultimate creation...

drizzle on the sauce...

and dig in!

The combination of the tangy hoagies, a crisp, cold pale ale
and a Cubero Cigar is the ultimate indulgence.
We paired ours with both Blend 07 -Wine,
which is naturally sweet tobacco with an oak-like taste and a taste of grape and
Blend 12 - Mocha,
that is more medium bodied with a smooth and slight coffee and chocolate overtones.

It was so much fun to experience the fusion flavors along with excitement of the game.

Murphy's Hoagie Sauce
5 Tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
10 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon dried Oregano
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until well combined.
Transfer to a spout topped bottle and enjoy!

Cigarillos add a fun spice to any party.
Perfect for people with sophisticated palettes or anyone that wants to experience smooth flavor blends and great quality for just a fraction of the price!

Timeout for Taquitos - A Football Fiesta

Fall is definitely football focused in our house.
There is always a game on tv,
a ball being tossed around in the front yard
and Friday Night Lights at our high school.
The fans are always hungry so as the Head Coach of Snacking...
I call a Timeout for Taquitos!

I have my freezer stocked for any play that is thrown my way.
José Olé taquitos and snacks are always suited up and ready in my freezer.
Perfect for a crowd of insatiable teenagers,
famished family members and easy to eat with one hand while tossing a spiral with the other.

They are delicious, crunchy, protein packed, filling and convenient.

and easy to eat with one hand while tossing a spiral with the other.
A totally tasty touchdown treat.

The cheer around here is
Just Say Ole!

Believe me, if you bring out a platter of these,
the Quarterback will not be the only one sneaking them.

Our favorite Beef Taquitos and Chicken and Cheese Flour Taquitos
are muy bien just on their own.
Hot and crispy out of the oven and dipped in a selection of salsas,
it is a fiesta in your mouth...

But our newly elected MVP for game days are
"Taqui-chos".
A cheesy, platter of Mexican fun.
A combination of José Olé Taquitos served "nacho style".
A Hail Mary that has made me a hero every time I've served them.
