Off to College Movie Night

Summer is in the home stretch 

and in a few short weeks my daughter will be off to college.
So instead of totally freaking out, I do what I do best - throw a party.

It's time for a 

College Movie Night!

A simple and special night that will hopefully be "educational"...

They'll learn what to do when you're the underdog...

if you're the smartest student in the room...

how to handle those frat boys...

and that love means never having to say you're sorry...

Of course any movie night must have popcorn.

Angie's BOOMCHICKAPOP will be giving new meaning to 

CHICKa-Flicks!

Especially in college, 

remembering that the best way to get out there and crush it every day,

 is by having a better-for-you snack with real, simple ingredients. 

(and they'll learn the valuable lesson that amazing, colorful packaging is always a home run)

Family Movie Night with The Boxtrolls

As my kids get older, family time is more precious then ever.

We are all "movie junkies" and a festive, cozy night with a great show

 is one of our favorite ways to spend time together.

A fantastic "flick", superb snacks and a comfy couch are all you need.

I love to hear my kids giggle at silly scenes, 

comment on amazing animation and watch them be touched by caring characters.

Well the marquee is lit and it is showtime for

The Boxtrolls!

This enchanting tale of the good-hearted, mischievous Boxtrolls 

was released on DVD on January 20th 

and I set out concessions in honor of the delightful story.

The Boxtrolls live in the cheese-obsessed town of Cheesebridge.

Their nemesis, the evil Archibald Snatcher is out to capture them all,

 in his quest to trade in his red hat for the coveted white hats worn by the city elite.

Our Red Hat Popcorn is a simple sinister mixture of 

Pop Secret Popcorn and Flaming Hot Cheetos -
crunchy, savory, spicy...

and the White Hat version...

combines buttery delicious popcorn with 

the cheesy goodness of freshly grated mozzarella and shaved parmesan.

You can't watch this movie without craving cheese, 

so we nibbled on mini "cheese cakes" displayed in boxes, of course!

and for a simple sweet treat,
(that some even tossed in with their popcorn!)
Swedish Fish in honor of Fish, our family's favorite Boxtroll.

After our movie night, my kids are ready to watch it again -
they have a bet as to how many times the word cheese is said!

So have some fun with The Boxtrolls too.
