Grilled Cheese Poppers

In my never ending quest to make weeknight dinners more fun,
I've decided to add a little POP to the menu...

Our old standby - Grilled Cheese, got a fun new twist by
simply being cut into bite-sized poppers
and served in individual containers.

Warm with gooey cheesy and just a slight crunch - instantly I am mom of the year!

I wouldn't dream of not pairing them with Tomato Soup.
(I am a traditionalist,
it is always Campbell's mixed with 1/2 can whole milk and 1/2 can water)

My grilled cheese "recipe" is what I have been doing since 8th Grade.
I take 2 slices of sourdough bread and butter one side of each.
For a spicy kick, I sprinkle ground cayenne pepper on each.

Place buttered side of one slice of bread onto a hot skillet,
top with a few slices of cheddar, then with the other piece of bread with buttered side up.
Flip sandwich once bread is browned and cheese has started to melt.
Cut into cubes and say...Cheese!

  2. How have I never thought of this before? Perfect little bite-sized morsels. I love it. I always do my tomato soup with all milk and a sprinkling of Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle.
