A "Toast" to the Holidays - Hot Chocolate French Toast

There is nothing better than the Christmas spirit in the air, and a Hot Chocolate in your hand!
Warm, sweet, creamy and rich, my family just can't get enough.
It just makes everyone happy.
I'm surprising them with a special Christmas breakfast treat...
Hot Chocolate French Toast.

Decadent, delicious and so easy to make with just 3 ingredients.
Sliced French Bread, Eggs and International Delight Hot Chocolate.
Such a festive twist to French Toast...

Topped with butter, syrup and powdered sugar...

and served with Hot Chocolate of course.
International Delight's new Hot Chocolate comes in Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate.
All you do is pour, heat and savor.
As they like to say it's like getting a "hug in a cup".

So I am proposing a "toast" to the season and all the sweet festivities.
Enjoy it all!

International Delight's website really helps you capture the spirit of the season,
join them here for a chance to win a holiday brunch for friends and family.
You can also learn about their other products including
Classic and Very Vanilla Egg Nog.

Hot Chocolate French Toast
Makes approximately 8 "toasts"
Sliced French Bread
4 eggs
2 cups of International Delight Hot Chocolate, either Dark Chocolate or Milk Chocolate

Whisk Eggs and Hot Chocolate together in a bowl until well combined.  Dip bread into the mixture on both sides and place in griddle or skillet that has been warmed over medium heat.  Cook each side until golden, about 2 minutes each side. Serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, marshmallows, shaved chocolate, whipped cream or anything you'd top your Hot Chocolate with.

Skiers' Delight - Hot Cocoa Cocktail

I created my Sweet'N Low Skiers' Delight Hot Cocoa Cocktail recipe as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars.  All content is my own. #donthesitaste

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
Christmas Trees are decorated, warm coats and boots are donned,
carolers are singing and it's time to hit the slopes.
My favorite part of skiing happens to be "apres"
and this year we're celebrating a day on the mountain with
a Skiers' Delight Hot Cocoa Cocktail...

Hot, sweet and creamy,
everyone will be racing to the lodge to get theirs...

Just a few simple ingredients are all you need to make the cocoa and the whipped cream topping.
I love using unsweetened dark chocolate chips and
then adding Sweet 'N Low to my cocoa.
It is a zero calorie sweetener so
it adds just the right sweetness without the extra calories.
Even after a day of shredding down those hills,
it is always great to cut back on calories wherever you can.

This warm cocktail gets kicked up just a notch
with a touch of Baileys Irish Cream...

and then topped with fresh whipped cream
mixed again with Sweet 'N Low for a kiss of sweetness...

then a dusting of coconut because a day of skiing is all about the "shred", right?

What time can I expect to see you at the bar?

Skiers' Delight Hot Cocoa Cocktail
serves 2
for the whipped cream
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 packets Sweet 'N Low Sweetener

for the cocoa:
2 cups whole milk
1 cup unsweetened dark chocolate chips
2 ounces Baileys Irish Cream

shredded coconut for topping

Place whipping cream and Sweet 'N Low in a metal bowl and mix on high with an electric mixer with whisk attachment or hand mixer (or if you're really brave you can use a whisk and beat by hand).
Mix until light and fluffy.

In a saucepan mix together milk, chips and Sweet 'N Low on medium to low heat until combined and chips are melted.  Remove from heat and add Baileys Irish Cream.

Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream and coconut.

An Ugg Party!

There is nothing better on a  chilly day,
than to slip on a pair of comfy, cozy Uggs.

How about a party eating, drinking and laughing,
in your Uggs with your favorite buddies?
Sounds like Heaven to me.

And everyone knows,
dry flakey lips are the UGG-liest side effects of the changing weather...

Lip balm boot favors will solve that!

Stay warm friends.

The Sochi Shake with Olympic Ski Stir Sticks

We are "chilling" out as we enjoy the winter games with
vanilla ice cream shakes, accessorized with Olympic Ski Stir Sticks...

(our shakes are usually 3/4 ice cream, 1/4 milk-
at the moment we are obsessed with Talenti Tahitian Vanilla Bean Gelato)

The silly skis took just minutes...

a quick coat of white paint on popsicle sticks then
hot glue pom poms on to resemble Olympic Rings and glue skis to skewers.

Shake it up and enjoy the Olympics!
