Presidents' Day Party

As Presidents' weekend approaches,  I thought it would be fun
to revisit a festive tribute to Abraham Lincoln.

Every President has a unique personality and folklorish tales that surround them but...

I cannot tell a lie,
President Lincoln is one of my faves.

So we're toasting him with
Honest "Ade", complete with stovepipe hats...

Enjoying Four "Skor" as we think back on
The Gettysburg Address...

Devouring a quotable cake on a bed of Lincoln head pennies,
topped with some of his infamous sayings...

and thinking how sweet it would be to see his childhood log cabin.

Happy Birthday Mr. President!

Presidents' Weekend- First Class 1st President

I did this George Washington Tribute
on 4th of July a few years ago...
as you enjoy your long weekend,
don't forget about George!

as the kids fill up their containers,
I hope they learn a little something too!

we say it is Jack Murphy's!

Happy Presidents' Weekend- Abe Lincoln Style

Happy President's Weekend!

With all of President Lincoln's recent Academy Award popularity,
I thought I would repost my Treat Table from last year...

Happy Birthday, Mr. President!

We will be partying this weekend
with a little "lemon-ABE", in honor of his nickname...

a tribute to his famous Gettysburg Address...

an ode to the tales about him living in a log cabin...

and his years in The White House...

Lastly, a Birthday Cake on a bed of pennies...
(Lincoln side up!)

commemorated with a few of my favorite Lincoln quotes...

such a wise man,
this one is the best...
