When you're a Murphy...St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef & Cabbage

Oh, the things you have to do,
 on St. Patrick's Day,
when your last name is Murphy...
My husband wouldn't think of letting the 17th go by without
Corned Beef and Cabbage.

This year we are putting a twist on it by making it an appetizer.

Shaved corned beef from our local deli
 a rich, grainy mustard
cocktail size pumpernickel bread
and
cabbage clovers

to make the clovers:
slip a clean, heart paper punch onto
the top, thinner portion of a cabbage leaf and
PUNCH...

three hearts, a parsley stem
(or chive would be great too)
and you're set...

Pinch me, I can't believe it is already March!

  1. YOU are brilliant!!! This is the cutest thing for St Paddy's Day! I may be just a smidge Irish, but that doesn't keep me from celebrating as if we're the McMoyers!

    I'll have to try this!
