Smart and Final Grand Opening

I have many, many reasons to shop at Smart and Final and 

I was so thrilled to attend the San Jose Grand Opening...

but my history with Smart and Final started years ago!

Growing up as a kid in Southern California,

 my friends and I had an obsession with bubble gum.

The great flavor, blowing the biggest bubbles and 
sneaking it at school, where it was forbidden.

Way back then, the only place to get gum in large quantities
was our local Smart and Final.

I would beg my mom to let me go with her,

and a jumbo tub of Bazooka almost always came home with us.

And so my love for Smart and Final began...

This week's Grand Opening Event was so much fun.

The balloons, the excitement, the great prices, the gorgeous new store.

Old habits die hard, so of course I immediately headed for the candy.

It literally takes up one entire side of the aisle.  

I was like a kid in a "candy aisle", 

what an amazing, fun selection with all my old favorites...

I picked up

 Hamburgers and Hot Dogs for Labor Day...

(ok, I did get these silly candies to decorate our BBQ Buffet

 but the meats are amazing and I stocked up on those too)

Smart and Final has so much more than great candy.

Walking around the store, I loved the beautiful produce, 

displayed "Farmer's Market" style.

Not only can I get great produce and meat, 

(with no membership fees)

but bulk and regular packaged items as well.

Paper goods, food storage items, dairy products, beverages galore, frozen foods... 

It really is the"smaller faster warehouse store".

I don't usually get great party inspiration while I am grocery shopping.

 But this display of Italian Syrups stopped me in my tracks,

so many flavors, my head was spinning with ideas...

I think an Italian Themed Party is in my near future...

It is fun, it is easy, its inspiring, they have it all!
