Mushroom Ice Cream

My daughter loves mushrooms.
When I asked if she had any ideas for dinner this week,
that was her request.

So...

Last night we had...

"Mushroom" Ice Cream Cones...

Mint Chip and Vanilla Ice Cream
topped with Chocorooms...

(I was curious so I searched Mushroom Ice Cream on Pinterest.
I was not brave enough to attempt them but,
check out these recipes that use real mushrooms
 HERE and HERE!)

Oh and we had this for dinner!

  7. Alexis, I saw your post and went on a mission to find those chocolate mushrooms (I had to go to two different World Markets!). Our daughter is away at college and has a love/hate relationship with mushrooms . . . she loves them in Broccoli Cheese casserole but says "ewww, Mom, it's a fungus." So, in her next care package, I'll wrap it up and have my husband put a card that says something about "Mom says, 'study hard' and I say 'have fun' because you know I'm a 'fun guy.'"
