Graduation Party Food - Celebrate your State

Cue the Pomp and Circumstance,
It's Graduation Season!
It's an exciting and joyous time where one chapter ends, and for many,
 a collegiate chapter begins.
Why not proudly wave your school's pennant flag and "celebrate the state" on the horizon?

You can get corny for Iowa...

Go nuts for Georgia...

Say, "Hot Dog" for good times in New York...

Cheers to the Colorado home where the Buffalo Roam...

(it is called the Banquet Beer, after all,
and the colors are on point!)

Say, "Cheese" to Wisconsin...

Go Big Blue-berries...

and enjoy Michigan's favorite fruit...

Wave Aloha to Hawaii...

You say, "Potato",
I say your party needs French Fries to honor Idaho's finest...

"Orange" you glad you'll get to visit your co-ed in Florida?
A big bowl of colorful citrus is a fun way to say, "see you later, to your Gater"...

Dare to "Mess with Texas"...

and kick it up by decorating with the Lone Star State's yellow roses...

I also love to commemorate the school with favors in the college colors.
Here we are not being "Cavaliler" as we honor the deep history of Virginias orange and blue...

and cupcakes are always a good idea, right?

Congrats to all the Grads,

A new twist on Pineapple Pizza

ignited great debate in our family.
We were torn, half loving the sweet juicy fruit as a topping
and half despising it.
In an effort to unite and delight,
I created a few fun "Pineapple Pizzas",
everyone will like.

Once I decided to take a totally literal approach,
these pizzas really took "shape"!

I prebaked Pillsbury pizza crust for 8 minutes at 400 degrees,
then cut into pineapple shapes.

(this can be done ahead of time, then later you can top your pizzas and heat in the oven)

then topped with fresh mozzarella cheese and back in the oven for about 5 minutes.
Thinly sliced green and yellow bell peppers add the pops of pineapple color...

The second pizza has a mixture of shredded cheddar and jack cheeses,
topped with mini pepperoni,
(again in the 400 degree oven for 5 minutes)
then a little fresh chiffonade basil.

Pizza night isn't complete without a fun dessert
and this pineapple pizza twist couldn't be easier...

and mint.

Halloween Party Food...with a little help from the Zombies

I am just starting to get a grip
(a green monster grip of course),
that Halloween is about a month away...

but I am not stressed because the Zombies
are helping me out with some
Super Easy Halloween Party Food...

we mashed up some potatoes and added Monster Green peas...

 Then they hung out,
while I made poured the Purple People Eater Signature Drink
(Naked Juice Blue Monster)

They seemed to come alive a little as
we prepared the
Un-dead Onion Dip and Mummy Spiral Chips
(both curtesy of Trader Joes- Caramelized Onion Dip and Crunchy Curls Potato Spirals)

The Zombies are ready to party!
They would be happy to help with your Halloween too.
(I got them at Dollar Tree!)
