Jac o' lyn Murphy: S'moresicles

Friday, July 5, 2013

Oh, my it has been hot.
There is no better way to cool off than with ice cold S'mores...

Summer just isn't Summer without S'mores and
this year, we are giving traditional S'mores the "cold shoulder"...

They are the perfect treat for kids of all ages to make...

For six popsicles,
(our popsicle molds are the 2 oz size from Ikea)
you will need a cup each of
chocolate chips, crumbled graham crackers and mini marshmallows...

four big scoops of softened chocolate ice cream...
(it is not an exact science add more or less as you see fit!)

mix them all together by hand or in a mixer with a flat paddle attachment...

then fill popsicle molds...
(pack the mixture in as "tight" as you can)

insert popsicle handle or stick...

and place in freezer for at least 2 hours...

your campfires will never be the same again!

I originally shared these at
Design Dazzle's Summer Camp.
Have you seen all the great ideas over there?

  1. These are perfect! It's been rather toasty here too and the thought of a campfire to roast the marshmallows didn't sound appealing. But S'mores from my fridge, heck yeah!

  2. Yum! I was going to try s'more brownies, but I think my kids would like these better.

  3. I'm on such a Popsicle kick right now, especially with this summer heat. I am definitely making these for my gang is week!
