You do not need to use much coloring at all, even if it is a lighter red than I did it is still really pretty in the jar. You could also make the red layers very thin.
I also did these holiday scrubs that use no dye
http://www.jacolynmurphy.com/2012/11/scrubbing-in-for-holidays.htmlAlexishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03320301988472778051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-13895821802398850822013-11-14T10:04:58.258-08:002013-11-14T10:04:58.258-08:00I love how cute the candy cane sugar scrub is. Any suggestions that will really help to make this less of a problem??? So a great idea. (there are 15 ladies in my bookclub so coming up with an inexpensive give is a challenge) Thanks!!!
Cyndy FowlerUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05258596059173971844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-35203091180645375982013-01-31T00:11:21.972-08:002013-01-31T00:11:21.972-08:00LOVE this DIY. To pack the sugar down, I have some of the old, tiny Tupperware savers that would fit down into the sugar jar and use the saver bottom to pack down the mixture. The mixture should be able to pour out of the sugar dispenser spout without clogging, shouldn't it?Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12590799658721624468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-6601068307842373352012-12-22T04:58:47.504-08:002012-12-22T04:58:47.504-08:00almond oil works great too and it is very light in...almond oil works great too and it is very light in colorAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-61267840047692149492012-12-22T04:56:13.227-08:002012-12-22T04:56:13.227-08:00is that a mason jar? my only concern with these ja...is that a mason jar? my only concern with these jars is that the center piece of the jar is seperate right? seems like it would be impractical while showering to deal with a 2 piece lid? any suggestions?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-27403451231756037852012-12-21T10:26:31.301-08:002012-12-21T10:26:31.301-08:00thanks a bunch! i am going to give this to my mom ...thanks a bunch! i am going to give this to my mom for ChristmasAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-82359601338932022792012-12-21T07:17:49.515-08:002012-12-21T07:17:49.515-08:00It should...give it a try!It should...give it a try!Alexishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03320301988472778051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-9354685629910953412012-12-21T07:17:33.045-08:002012-12-21T07:17:33.045-08:00Try it Patricia...fun and easy!Try it Patricia...fun and easy!Alexishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03320301988472778051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-36136176253679956642012-12-21T04:01:33.100-08:002012-12-21T04:01:33.100-08:00would oil only and vanilla still smell like vanill...would oil only and vanilla still smell like vanilla?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-6359842784606682322012-12-21T00:34:54.715-08:002012-12-21T00:34:54.715-08:00I love sugar scrub! especially when they are as pr...I love sugar scrub! especially when they are as pretty as this :) gonna try that some time soonPatricia Djuhadihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17936740188407035712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-89251605518147334962012-12-20T18:01:01.269-08:002012-12-20T18:01:01.269-08:00thanks!!!!thanks!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-69753618884945145602012-12-20T17:54:31.999-08:002012-12-20T17:54:31.999-08:00could i use vanilla and no coconut, and still have...could i use vanilla and no coconut, and still have it smell like vanilla?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-24112661455601214892012-12-20T17:50:03.774-08:002012-12-20T17:50:03.774-08:00I think vanilla would be great!I think vanilla would be great!Alexishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03320301988472778051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-70054939071261350142012-12-20T17:47:58.919-08:002012-12-20T17:47:58.919-08:00could you use vanilla extract instead of peppermin...could you use vanilla extract instead of peppermint, or would the coconut oil overpower that?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-47953660257824190802012-12-19T19:37:49.575-08:002012-12-19T19:37:49.575-08:00It calls for peppermint extractIt calls for peppermint extractAlexishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03320301988472778051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6043966024194948279.post-53904493429790527162012-12-19T18:58:14.450-08:002012-12-19T18:58:14.450-08:00Was just wondering if you could put anything in th...Was just wondering if you could put anything in this to make a candy cane kind of smell?
