Flip Flop Floats -The perfect Summer Ice Cream Treat

Summer is here and it's flip flop season.
Not only for our feet but for our dessert!
Instead of mixing soda with ice cream for our floats, I'm "moo-ving" things around.
I've flip flopped the ingredients,
with frozen soda cubes...

It's a fun twist on the original and the delicious combinations are endless.
You can be traditional with root beer...

Tropical with pineapple...

Happy with strawberry...

actually "berry" happy...

And, orange you glad it's summer?
The floating mandarin  may be my favorite...

which is a heavenly blend of sweetened cream and rich egg yolks that are churned together
 for the perfect velvety texture.
For one float,
I mix about 3 scoops of ice cream with 1/2 cup of milk in a blender,
and pour into a chilled glass.

It is the perfect base,
Clover Sonoma Ice Cream has no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
And it is so good!

Next top your ice cream with soda ice cubes in the flavor of your choice.
To make them, simply freeze soda in silicon molds overnight...

I usually use 4-5 per float...

Let the flip flop float festivities begin.

We enjoy Clover Sonoma Ice Cream all year long.
They are a third-generation, family owned and operated dairy in Northern California.
Their ice cream comes in eleven decadent flavors,
including Salted Caramel, Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Peanut Butter.

This summer is going to be "legend dairy"!

Thank you to Clover Sonoma for sponsoring this post!
