4th of July Treat Table- a Tribute to George

I think George Washington is my favorite of all the patriots.
We will be honoring him and a few of his
many accomplishments this
4th of July ...

as the kids fill up their containers,
I hope they learn a little something too!

we say it is Jack Murphy's
(I know it looks a little like Thomas Jefferson but I swear it is GW, he did a big report)

Your 4th of July table is outstanding. It makes the history teacher in me cry out, "Maybe she did listen"! And Jack Murphy your portrait of George Washingon is suitable for a museum!

  16. What a delightful post! We visited Mt. Vernon in September and learned so much about George Washington. The kids loved learning about his terrible teeth and seeing replicas of the 'dentures' that he wore. I love your chocolate dollars and cherry cones. Jack's drawing is perfect! Thanks for linking up to my Red, White, Blue & You Link Party!
